Method
How VigLines picks Horse Racing
A horse race is not a set of independent head-to-head matchups; every runner is affected by the same pace. VigLines simulates the whole field together: each horse’s ability comes from recency-weighted speed figures with uncertainty that widens for lightly raced or returning runners, and a shared pace scenario per trial rewards closers when the early fractions are hot and front-runners when they are slow. Running styles (E, EP, P, S) come from the racecard, and scratches are applied the moment they are entered. The result is a win, place and show probability for every runner, the most likely exacta combinations, and a fair odds line. Racing requires licensed racecards and chart history, so until a commercial feed is active and a validated model is registered, racing output is recorded as a data hold with the reason. Nothing is published that the data does not support.
